IT Operations Specialist (Kirkland)
Aerotek is currently staffing for an exciting IT operations specialist opportunity for a major Fortune 500 company and leader in innovative web-based technology in Kirkland, WA. A successful candidate will help the IT department to support over 400 computers located within an office environment. Under limited supervision you will provide support to end-users, build, troubleshoot, and maintain network systems. This is a highly dynamic and interactive position that requires communication with a wide variety of users. The IT operations specialist will also ?work with development teams to strategize and develop ways to improve overall efficiency of job specific tools and applications. Other job duties include initial level of debugging and resolution, testing various releases of new applications, implementing security on servers, hands on tool development.

Required Skills:
Qualifications:
3+years experience in Linux
Hand on experience in shell scripting
Good Knowledge on Java
Good knowledge on Perl scripting
Hands on experience in Mysql Database
Basic Knowledge on networking
Knowledge on PHP is added advantage
Hands on experience with tool development preferred
Preferred but not required: Masters in Technology, Computer Science, Computer Applications or equivalent; or B.S. in Technology, Computer Science, Computer Application or equivalent, with minimum 3 years work experience in related field
This position is a 1-2 year full time contract position in Kirkland, WA, Monday ? Friday.
